Our turn around time on photo cards is usually two to three full business days. Sometimes, during the holiday rush, extended turn around times may apply. For instance, if we receive your order, photograph, and payment over a weekend, we would begin Monday and ship Tuesday or Wednesday. Our turn around time on non photo cards is next business day. Your cards can be printed in any language that uses Roman characters (like those used in English). Just fill out your order form in the language you prefer. Photo Tips| How do I submit my photograph? | top | |
Your choice…you may either mail your standard size glossy color prints OR scan your prints on a flatbed scanner at 300 dpi, save as a standard picture file such as .jpg without compression, editing, cropping, or resizing and e-mail or upload OR e-mail or upload a picture from a digital camera (make sure your camera is set for highest resolution/best quality/biggest image). We recommend against submitting images from a photo developer’s disc as well as video still shots as they are usually saved at very low resolutions. | | | | What kind of photograph works best? | top | |
Sharply focused, up-close (subject should take up 50% or more of photo frame), color photographs (we’ll convert to black and white during editing if necessary) that avoid dark backgrounds, avoid heavy shadowing, and avoid over-exposure produce the best opportunity for a beautiful crisp image on your announcements or invitations. Yes, most digital cameras produce wonderful photographs. We recommend that your camera be capable of a minimum of 1 mega pixel, which is needed for optimal quality imaging. Be sure that all camera settings are adjusted to take a high resolution, high quality, 1280 x 1024 pixel (or larger) image. Snapshots work wonderfully for all our cards. However, if you have a professionally taken photograph you just love, we will be happy to use it. Just send a letter of permission from the photographer permitting us to reproduce the photo or have the photographer e-mail or telephone us with permission. Why? Professionally taken photographs are protected under standard copyright guidelines, which prohibit their re-production without express permission from the photographer. In our experience most photographers will allow reproduction if it is for a product they do not offer (i.e. custom birth announcements; wedding invitations). | | | | I have been blessed with multiple babies!
